Poison

Notes
  • Poison ticks 3 times per second for 10 seconds.
  • Poison deals 1% of the victim's maximum health per second (0.33% per tick) or an amount per second equivalent to Acrid's damage stat, whichever deals more damage. Poison is capped at 50 times Acrid's Damage per second.
  • Poison damage is affected by armor and has the nonlethal tag.
  • Poison is a Damage over Time effect, meaning it cannot Proc.

Blight

Notes
  • Unlocked via the Acrid: Easy Prey Challenge. (As Acrid, land the killing blow on 50 total enemies that have 1 hit point left.)
  • Blight ticks 3 times per second for 5 seconds.
  • Blight deals 20% of Acrid's damage stat per tick, or 60% damage per second. Each stack of Blight increases the damage of each tick rather than adding more ticks.

Notes
  • If Epidemic hits a surface it will bounce to any nearby Monsters.

Tips[edit | edit source]

  • Acrid's Vicious Wounds attack animation can be cancelled and reset by initiating a dash. This allows Acrid to attack extremely quickly with no items. In Development Thoughts #11 it was noted this behavior will likely get removed.
  • Acrid's Poison can't kill on its own.
  • Poisoning the boss or bosses via Neurotoxin and Epidemic and then running away while the poison ticks is a great tactic.
  • Acrid's Epidemic gives Acrid great early-game AOE damage. When combined with items such as the Ukulele.pngUkuleleBgUncommon.pngUkulele.png...and his music was electric.
    25% chance to fire chain lightning for 80% TOTAL damage on up to 3 (+2 per stack) targets within 20m (+2m per stack).

    On killing an enemy, spawn a lava pillar in a 12m (+2.4m per stack) radius for 350% (+280% per stack) base damage.

    Killing an enemy ignites all enemies within 12m (+4m per stack). Enemies burn for 150% (+75% per stack) base damage.
    , this lets Acrid easily clear crowds of enemies.
  • Acrid does not spawn from an escape pod, making Acrid unable to unlock Power Plant on its own.
  • Acrid does not take any fall damage while using Caustic Leap or Frenzied Leap.
  • Intentionally shooting Epidemic at the floor or walls can allow you to reliably hit flying Monsters such as Lesser Wisps.

  • The challenge necessary to unlock Acrid, "...To be left alone" is a reference to Acrid's victory screen from the first Risk of Rain, which reads "...And so it left, with a new hunger: to be left alone."
