All Current Artifact Codes

Artifacts are Game Modifiers that are found in the world in-game.

Unlocking[edit | edit source]

To unlock Artifacts you need to use the correct Artifact Code in Sky Meadow, using the Compound Generator below the map, then interacting with the laptop. A Portal to the trial for that Artifact in Bulwark's Ambry will spawn.

The Compound Generator will cycle in the order: square, circle, triangle, diamond (■ ● ▲ ♦)

In Bulwark's Ambry, the Artifact whose trial is being attempted will be active and an Artifact Key.pngArtifact KeyBgBoss.pngArtifact Key.pngA stone shard with immense power. will be on an elevated block in front of the Artifact Reliquary. The player must give the Artifact Key to the Artifact Reliquary, which will cause monsters to start spawning, with more Artifact Keys randomly dropping from killed monsters. Using an Artifact Key will remove them from all player inventories.

Upon destroying the Artifact Reliquary, the Artifact can be taken and a portal to a First Stage will appear.

  • The new equipment will be put on the cooldown of the activated equipment.
    • The Crowdfunder.pngThe CrowdfunderBgEquipment.pngThe Crowdfunder.pngToggle to fire. Costs gold per bullet.
Fires a continuous barrage that deals 100% damage per bullet. Costs $1 per bullet. Cost increases over time.
gives 5s but does not give a new equipment itself, the 5s would apply to equipment that is picked up after The Crowdfunder is used.
  • Preon Accumulator.pngPreon AccumulatorBgEquipment.pngPreon Accumulator.png140sFire a ball of energy that electrocutes nearby enemies before detonating.
Fires preon tendrils, zapping enemies within 35m for up to 600% damage/second. On contact, detonate in an enormous 20m explosion for 4000% damage.

health gain to kill ratio is changed from 1:1 to 1:10.

Honor[edit | edit source]

  • The Old Guillotine.pngOld GuillotineBgUncommon.pngOld Guillotine.pngInstantly kill low health Elite monsters.
Instantly kill Elite monsters below 13% (+13% per stack) health.
can be helpful when all enemies are Elite, though stacking many items with similar effects is generally inefficient.
  • Brainstalks.pngBrainstalksBgLegendary.pngBrainstalks.pngSkills have NO cooldowns for a short period after killing an elite.
Upon killing an elite monster, enter a frenzy for 4s (+4s per stack) where skills have 0.5s cooldowns.
is also really helpful as killing any enemy will make you have no cooldowns on your skills.

Kin[edit | edit source]

  • In the Void Fields, no additional Monsters are added past the first cell event.
    • It is possible for no Monster to be chosen in the Void Fields during the first cell event, resulting in no monsters spawning in the Void Fields at all.
  • The Trial for this Artifact in Bulwark's Ambry currently does not work properly, with all Monsters still being able to spawn.

Metamorphosis[edit | edit source]

  • Upon entering the Trial for this Artifact in Bulwark's Ambry, each player will be given a random survivor and will be stuck as this survivor for the rest of the run (unless this Trial is entered again).
  • Skill-unlocking challenges are reset when a new survivor is chosen.
    • In the Trial of Metamorphosis, this is not the case; an in progress challenge can still be completed as the new character, and challenges for the new character can also be completed.

Sacrifice[edit | edit source]

  • Drop rates for item rarity are:
    • 63% Common
    • 27% Uncommon
    • 0.9% Legendary
    • 9% Equipment
  • Drop chance is not affected by 57 Leaf Clover.png57 Leaf CloverBgLegendary.png57 Leaf Clover.pngLuck is on your side.
All random effects are rolled +1 (+1 per stack) times for a favorable outcome.
or Purity.pngPurityBgLunar.pngPurity.pngReduce your skill cooldowns by 2 seconds. You are unlucky.
All skill cooldowns are reduced by 2 (+1 per stack) seconds. All random effects are rolled +1 (+1 per stack) times for an unfavorable outcome.
    .
  • Predetermined chests, such as the Legendary Chest on Abyssal Depths and the Chests on Gilded Coast, do still spawn with this Artifact active.

Drop Chance[edit | edit source]

The drop chance is equal to 0.05 * Log2(Max(1, Floor(creditCost * rewardMultiplier)) + 1).

Notes

  • Drop rates are changed when monsters spawn under certain conditions:
    • Pre-spawned: lowered by up to 8%
    • TP charging: lowered by up to 4.3% (Does not apply to TP Boss)
    • TP Boss: lowered by up to 16.6%
    • Artifact of Swarms: lowered by up to 5%, in addition to any other change
  • The drop chance can not be less than 5%.

  • There is a known bug where sometimes Sacrifice may fail to enable before a run even when it is selected (encountered on PC on Steam, needs to be verified on other platforms) closing out of Risk of Rain 2 and reopening it will fix this bug.

Soul[edit | edit source]

  • The Wisps are bright blue and do not give Gold or exp.
  • If Huntress's Laser Glaive kills a monster, it will immediately jump to the wisp spawned by the monster's death, consuming a bounce.
  • They do not drop items if Artifact of Sacrifice is enabled.

Spite[edit | edit source]

  • Bombs have a Proc Coefficient of 0.75.
  • A single monster can spawn up to 30 bombs.
  • The bombs will bounce twice then detonate on the third bounce.

Swarms[edit | edit source]

  • Each Monster also gives half of the usual Gold and exp.
  • Also doubles boss spawns, including Mithrix and the Twisted Scavengers.
  • Also doubles the number of Beetle Guards that spawn from Queen's Gland.pngQueen's GlandBgBoss.pngQueen's Gland.pngRecruit a Beetle Guard.
Every 30 seconds, summon a Beetle Guard with bonus 300% damage and 100% health. Can have up to 1 (+1 per stack) Guards at a time.
    .

Vengeance[edit | edit source]

  • Doppelgangers spawn with the same items and equipment as the player they're copying, including hidden items such as the drizzle bonus armor. They're named `Umbra of X`, where X is a name of a survivor they're copying.
  • For the Trial for this Artifact in Bulwark's Ambry, a doppelganger for each player is spawned every time the Artifact Reliquary is interacted with, except the last interaction.
    • They will also be spawned with the same behavior while doing a Trial for all other Artifacts if Vengeance is active.
  • Umbrae are considered bosses, their healthbar is displayed at the top of the screen and they are susceptible to damage boost from Armor-Piercing Rounds.pngArmor-Piercing RoundsBgCommon.pngArmor-Piercing Rounds.pngDeal extra damage to bosses.
Deal an additional 20% damage (+20% per stack) to bosses.
    .
  • Screen has a deep purple tint while at least one Umbra is alive.
  • Upon death, the Umbra drops one random item from their inventory, be it copied from a player or received from Artifact of Evolution.
  • If Artifact of Swarms is also enabled, two doppelgangers will spawn with half the max health each.
    • Each doppelganger will drop an item.
  • Umbrae are given a special item which reduces their damage but increases their maximum health. This item is also responsible for their appearance, the accommodating particle effects and the purple screen filter.
    • Due to their increased maximum health any %HP healing is very potent on umbrae. Particularly Engineer Turrets with Bustling Fungus.pngBustling FungusBgCommon.pngBustling Fungus.pngHeal all nearby allies after standing still for 2 seconds.
After standing still for 2 seconds, create a zone that heals for 4.5% (+2.25% per stack) of your health every second to all allies within 3m (+1.5m per stack).
      can become incredibly durable.
      • Extreme care should be taken when the player has N'kuhana's Opinion.pngN'kuhana's OpinionBgLegendary.pngN'kuhana's Opinion.pngFire haunting skulls when healed.
Store 100% (+100% per stack) of healing as Soul Energy. After your Soul Energy reaches 10% of your maximum health, fire a skull that deals 250% of your Soul Energy as damage.
as the items damage is equal to 25% of the holders maximum health. An engineer turret with sufficient Fungus and N'kuhana's can easily wipe an entire team of players.
    • Beetle Guards spawned by Queen's Gland.pngQueen's GlandBgBoss.pngQueen's Gland.pngRecruit a Beetle Guard.
Every 30 seconds, summon a Beetle Guard with bonus 300% damage and 100% health. Can have up to 1 (+1 per stack) Guards at a time.
do not receive this item, meaning they will deal full damage and can easily kill the player. (beetle guards spawned by Queen's Gland deal 4 times the damage of a normal beetleguard)
  • Umbrae are considered allied with the monsters. Therefore, items like Bustling Fungus.pngBustling FungusBgCommon.pngBustling Fungus.pngHeal all nearby allies after standing still for 2 seconds.
After standing still for 2 seconds, create a zone that heals for 4.5% (+2.25% per stack) of your health every second to all allies within 3m (+1.5m per stack).
are capable of healing any monsters that enter its radius.

Notes[edit | edit source]

Artifact design in the credits
  • In the credits there is a whiteboard design of an Artifact. It has no use but possibly could in the future.[1]
